Gift ideas for the gardening enthusiast

Birthday, Mother’s or Father’s Day, Anniversary, any special occasion, or just to show you care – there are lots of reasons to buy a gift for someone who loves gardening. What to get them is easy if you know two things about them. One, what type of gardening do they enjoy:  flowers, vegetables, or both? Two, to what degree do they garden:  small scale, like container gardening or small yard gardening; or large scale, where a garden tiller is needed to prepare a flower or vegetable bed because the job is too big for just a shovel to accomplish. (Prices shown are estimates based on local markets, e.g., garden shops, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.)

Show your gardening lover that you appreciate and support their green thumb. Buy them a garden-related gift.
Small Scale Gardening

Those engaging in small scale gardening projects may be doing so for several reasons, the most obvious of which is space to do gardening. Their choice for small scale gardening might also be due to physical limitations preventing them from undertaking a big task. Perhaps they are just starting out and want to see how well they do on a small scale before venturing into bigger projects. Following are items that the small scale gardening might like having, and having more than one is okay, so don’t fear getting them something from this list that they might already have.
